Field Service Technician (Anniston, US)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provide labor and services associated with damages, adjustments or customer accommodations
  2. Establish and maintain professional relationships with transit properties and bus builders
  3. Develop strong and effective relationships with internal customer’s
  4. Develop tools to enhance labor required to repair or replace parts
  5. Prepare trip reports for work completed on all customer visits
  6. Effectively communicate trip results by completing reports on all customer visits and sending updates to internal departments for suggestions on improvements to our products. (i.e. manufacturing, quality, engineering, Key Account Teams)
  7. Prepare expense reports
  1. Travel onsite to other transit properties across the United States and Canada with little to no notice.
  2. Additional Responsibilities when field service is not active: Assist and support operations on special projects, process improvements and supervisory responsibilities as directed by TPG customer service manager.

Minimum Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Read and understand blueprints proficiently
  3. Ability to obtain a passport and travel to Canada
  4. Ability to adapt to various work schedules and flexible shifts
  5. Ability to reserve travel arrangements, then get reimbursed expenses.
  6. Superb customer service, communication and self-management skill
  7. Must be mechanically inclined

Skills Required

  1. Knowledge of product, applications, and/or manufacturing processes.
  2. Knowledge of how to troubleshoot and repair product
  3. Excellent organizational skills and time management
  4. Ability to interpret technical drawings/blueprints
  5. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues.
  6. Ability to utilize laptop computer for processing creating daily/bi-weekly status updates, trip reports, accessing engineering drawings, and communicating with team members
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
