HAKS is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to manage a large-scale rail/transit construction project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents.
Coordinate work with multiple stakeholders at active facilities.
Review and approve requisitions and invoices.
Manage change orders and cost controls efficiently.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, architects/engineers, consultants and contractors.
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer, Licensed Architect or CCM required.
Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in Construction Experience working with rail/transit projects preferred.
Management of large rail/transit projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong client relationship skills.
Experience working with public agencies such as MTA, New York City Transit, Capital Construction, LIRR and MNRR, Port Authority of NY & NJ, Amtrak, etc.
Effective leadership for managing and/or coordinating trades and mentoring on-site staff.
Broad knowledge and experience working with project costs and budgets.
Strong computer skills -- proficiency in Expedition, Prolog, P3 and Constructware.
Valid Drivers License and clean MVR.
