CAV Projects Marketing Assistant (Milton Keynes, UK)

The Essence of This Role

A CAV Projects Marketing Assistant is required for the Marketing team to support the CAV Projects Communications Manager and the UK Autodrive Communications Manager

The role will involve coordinating and supporting the work of the two Communications managers whose job is disseminate the work and results of three CAV consortiums who are running major Connect & Autonomous Vehicle projects to industrial, academic and public communities.

Reporting to the CAV Projects Communications Manager and working as part of the Events, Marketing and Communications team, you will assist in executing and evaluating external communications and stakeholder engagements for a variety of cutting edge projects.

The successful applicant will be expected to help achieve objectives through various mediums including admin, events, social media, copywriting and verbal communications, giving you opportunities to develop your project and marketing skills in a number of areas.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and support stakeholder events and trials.
  • Updating the projects Facebook, Twitter & linkedin.
  • Helping the day to day upkeep of the three websites.
  • Oversee email newsletter.
  • Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, news wires, social media sites and blogs.
  • Work closely with partner company colleagues to ensure messaging is accurate and targeted correctly.
  • Proactively measure, evaluate and report on the success of events and internal communications programmes to demonstrate added value.
  • Assisting Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.

  • Strong admin skills.
  • Understanding of social media.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Determination and focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Customer focused approach with excellent problem solving and IT skills.
  • Be adaptable and flexible.
  • A flexible, diligent and supportive approach is essential.
  • Intelligent and with good interpersonal skills.
  • Experiencing of using Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Experience in CRM preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in supporting events.
  • Some experience in a communications role and/or communication related qualification.
  • Interest in technology and/or transport.
