Job Summary:

As a key member of the Back Office Dev Ops team, automation developers are responsible for resolving platform-wide automation challenges. You will leverage your technology skillset to provide creative automation solutions to support testing efforts as well as to reduce repetitive tasks. You will provide solutions that will help integration testing efforts for software, hardware and firmware layers. You will use your experience to make sure we’re automating critical product areas that make sense and bring business value.

Overview

The automation developer leverages a wide-range of standard technologies to automate test cases or processes as needed.  Automation developers work closely with the development team, manual testers and devops engineers to ensure the solutions, frameworks and environments used are meeting the business needs.

Key Functions

  • Develop and/or maintain automated scripts: Automate test cases using the appropriate technology and in the most efficient manner possible
  • Triage Analysis: Review and Analyze automation run failures to identify tools or product defects
  • Performance Testing: Maintain or create performance testing scripts and their execution
  • Report and track application defects and feature enhancements
  • Develop and maintain automation framework:  Analyze, design and develop changes to the automation environment to ensure appropriate tools are used for the different products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Automate scripts using windows, web and mobile technologies
  • Work with other team members to deliver full automation solutions
  • Review and update test cases to match requirements as needed
  • Partner with the System Integration team to identify automation solutions for hardware and firmware based testing
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve the automation framework and environment
  • Work with IT and DevOps engineers to leverage on-prem or cloud based solutions to meet business requirements
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings

Critical Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with C#
  • 3-5 years of experience in an automation developer role
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Selenium or other web-based technologies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with MSSQL and/or Oracle 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with HTML5 technologies and frameworks
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes and concepts
  • Familiarity with web security best practices

Other Requirements

  • Experience with SOAP and REST services
  • Experience with C++
  • Developer experience with MFC
  • Practical experience with relational databases
  • Web application development experience
  • Familiarity with windows-based SDLC
  • Hands-on experience with web performance testing
