Sales Engineer, Delivery is tasked with quickly and efficiently identifying ideal solutions to meet customer needs while also assessing potential business risks. A successful candidate must be effective in understanding the goals and objectives of public and private organizations in the software industry.
Work closely with the Professional Services, Product Management, and Sales teams to define detailed solutions for qualified sales opportunities that will ultimately be delivered to customers. The primary responsibilities of this role will be understanding and articulating technology solutions to customers, creating pricing, budgetary quotes, and Statements of Work that reflect these solutions, and ultimately driving increased sales for the company.
On a daily basis, you will:
Consult with customers to understand their goals and objectives and articulate the appropriate Trapeze software solutions and implementation approach to meet their needs.
Support the Sales and Professional Services teams by owning the development of Statements of Work, including pricing, or Budgetary Quotes that reflect the proposed customer solution.
Manage multiple internal and external stakeholders across various product families to ensure the proposed solution is unified in its approach.
Ensure that all proposed solutions can be successfully implemented by the Professional Services team and appropriately capture risk as identified during the sales and consulting process.
Ensure that all proposed solutions are quoted accurately and have achieved internal approval before being delivered to a customer.
Develop and maintain standard documentation for pricing and Statements of Work.
Manage the internal quote approval process in conjunction with the Sales team to ensure that quotes are delivered to clients in a timely manner.
Work with Account Executives, Industry Solutions Managers, the Sales Proposals team, and Professional Services to develop pricing and scope for competitive RFP solutions.
Work with the Inside Sales Team and Product Management to lead the execution of key sales strategies.
The Expertise You Bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in business, planning, engineering, or other technical discipline.
Previous software implementation experience in a technical role such as Sales Engineer, Technical Product Specialist, Implementation Specialist, etc
Experience with creating Statements of Work including estimation and pricing
Strong experience producing quality documentation
Min 4 years of customer facing experience
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in in the Public Transportation industry is an asset
Strong consulting, presentation, and communication skills are required.
Ability to understand and relate industry/client requirements.
Ability to quickly learn and explain enterprise solution offerings to internal and external customers.
Capable of managing input from multiple stakeholders and achieve agreed upon timelines.
Ability to initiate and manage customer activities.
Limited travel may be required up to 25% within North America
