US - Ironwood: Shelters replacement in Ironwood, MI

- Ironwood, USA, NA

1 Disconnect and remove from service Rnwy 27 Glide Slope (GS) shelter and dispose of offsite.

2 Install a Power and Control Rack (helical) with new meter and disconnects for GS and
AWOS. Re-connect AWOS to new disconnect ASAP; site personnel will maintain operation of AWOS with a portable generator while new rack is installed.

3 Remove all conduit/conductors from antenna mast, to include Lightning Down Conductor(s).

4 Remove existing UG duct/wiring into shelter, and any buried conductors, conduit, etc., that
will not be re-used, to include existing EES and interconnection conductor with AWOS EES.

5 Remove steps and foundation (note that existing foundation appears to be a flat slab, while
reference drawings show piers).

6 Regrade site and create a swale (North?) to prevent ponding at and around the shelter and antenna mast. Prep any disturbed areas with geotextile fabric and crushed aggregate
