Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Traffic Analyst for immediate employment for the Richmond Hill, ON office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Undertaking traffic operational assessments using various transportation software applications (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro, etc.)

  • Preparing documentation related to current or prospective projects, including correspondence, reports, maps, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications, consultation materials, and meeting minutes

  • Communicating and working with other project team members, as well as liaising with and assisting other AECOM departments and offices in the provision of transportation planning services to clients

  • Completing work within the prescribed time and budget while maintaining high quality

  • Highway planning, functional, preliminary, and detail design

  • Transportation policy studies

  • Transportation master plan studies

  • Active transportation planning and design projects

  • Environmental assessments for transportation facilities

  • Traffic impact studies

  • Highway safety reviews/audits, and transportation study peer reviews

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of a Civil Engineering program with eligibility for registration with PEO as Engineering-Intern (EIT)

  • No experience required

  • Strong writing skills to prepare study reports, assist in writing proposals and preparing / presenting slide decks to potential clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Well-developed computer and analytical skills and of note, experience working with Synchro, VISSIM, and EMME

Preferred Qualifications

  • Had related co-op / summer terms experience
