The purpose of the job is to specify and design software architecture of Traffic Management System (TMS) product software (or part of its) and support the Product Architect in finding the best implementation strategies for TMS Software Product. Moreover, the job will consist of coordinating and monitoring a team of developers (internal and/or external), writing/updating technical documentation, attending as Product reference in meeting within Customer, partecipating to international workshops and joint design meetings.

Traffic Management System is a subsystem providing a set of advanced features for railway traffic automation and regulation. It is the main Traffic Control Centre subsystem and can be scope of standalone project or  platform level contract. These systems provide railway operators advanced automation and decision support functions  to plan, regulate, automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network. These systems are based on special software application, normally running on IT infrastructure/datacenter specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.


  • Contribute to the elaboration of product/system specification & architecture, in collaboration with the Product Architect/ System Engineering Manager.
  • Coordinate and monitoring a sub-team of SW developers (internal/external) to fit the TMS product milestones
  • Attending as product reference to joint design meeting within internal/external customers
  • Supporting Product Architects in the defining the SW Architecture in case of new future functionalities
  • Define main technical choices for SW development


Essential: University Degree level in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science is the educational requirement for this role. You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in complex software developments based on Windows Systems and a deep knowledge of software programming language (VB, C/C++, C#, WCF, WPF, MS-SQL). Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Hyper-V, knowledge of IT architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, IP networking, routing and SQL databases.) is needed for the role. You come with a strong ability in problem solving and debugging in Railway and Scada Application is required.

You are fluent in English.
