Senior Human Resources Generalist (Burnaby, CA)

Job Summary:

The Ballard Human Resources Team has an opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This challenging position involves developing, implementing and supporting a broad range of Human Resource (HR) projects relating to compensation and rewards, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development. The HR Generalist will partner with members of the HR team and as a Business Partner with organizational leaders, solve people-related issues in order to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather input to understand the current and future business needs of the internal client and provide HR support and services aligned to those needs and to the company’s vision, mission and values;
  • Ensure all levels of leadership receive professional advice and coaching required to successfully implement a variety of HR programs;
  • Exercise sound business and HR technical judgment by assisting in the progress and implementation of people solutions;
  • Support the ongoing requirements of the HCM system in Oracle Fusion, including customization coordination, upgrade testing, coordination with IT on configuration changes and bug fixes, maintaining training materials, etc.;
  • Lead high volume, full-cycle recruitment for a variety of Professional and Technical positions;
  • Work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals in an ever-changing, fast-paced, customer-focused environment;
  • Ensure client-specific needs are taken into account in the design and implementation of corporate HR programs in the field;
  • Manage and/or participate in special projects.

Requirements:

An accomplished professional, you have 8 - 10 years of directly related experience, including a record of success as an HR Generalist, with specialist experience in some or all of the following: compensation planning, leadership development, talent management, organizational development and technical recruitment.

A relevant post-secondary degree complements your sound knowledge of employment legislation. Your talents include excellent planning, communication and interpersonal skills. Global High Tech experience and experience in a manufacturing environment are definite assets.
