About the Role:

The Procurement Manager is an integral link in the Passport Supply Chain, working to develop and execute procurement strategies. As a Procurement Manager, you’ll oversee our key vendors including the day to day relationship, order placement/management, payment/invoicing, standard pricing, and vendor agreements. Within Passport you will ensure Sales Orders/Purchase Orders are processed properly, inventory is accurately tracked and maintained, and everything runs smoothly so our clients get what they need when they need it. The Procurement Manager acts as an owner by proactively seeking ways to maximize our margin so the Passport can invest in people and strategic growth.   • Devise and implement effective procurement strategies
  • Manage the ongoing relationship with our current base of strategic vendors
    • Seek ways to deepen the relationship to gain more value
    • Monitor performance and set target metrics for evaluation including quality, on time delivery, reliability, and cost effectiveness
    • Examine existing agreements/contracts to understand requirements and actively manage as necessary
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms to increase margin and drive efficiency
  • Work with department leaders to source and bring on new suppliers as needed to meet the company’s goals
  • Place and monitor orders ensuring alignment with Passport’s procurement standard processes for Purchase Orders and Sales Orders.
    • Drive on-time delivery and work to remove blockers
    • Manage Sales Orders as they come in and generate the associated Purchase Orders and documentation as needed
    • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity of expectations and accurate delivery.
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Forecast upcoming levels of demand while keeping a pulse on price and market trends to identify any potential opportunities or risks to Passport’s operations.
  • Proactively assess, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Manage the hardware inventory flow, accurately tracking receipt, stock, shipping, and client assignment at a serial number level
  • Benchmark industry best practices and offerings to keep Passport at the cutting edge
  • Prepare accurate and easy to digest reports for upper management as required

About You:


  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, and/or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  • Experienced with a 3 way match process and a thorough understanding of purchase orders
  • Adept in negotiation and networking
  • Solid judgement and data driven decision making skills
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data
  • Strong attention to detail with great record keeping abilities
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
    • Direct experience with Netsuite is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team able to own a project and execute with little hand holding
  • Experience with contracts, able to understand content and requirements
  • Willingness to learn new tools and processes while adapting to fast paced change
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
