The Proposal Writer is an essential player within the Sales Enablement team, who will develop creative content to communicate the value proposition of our solutions in our sales proposals.

Trapeze is looking for a Proposal Writer with the ability to interpret and conceptualize technical solutions into creative communication and develop new content for a wide range of competitive sales proposals. The successful candidate will be an extremely talented, passionate and detailed writer who will aid in the planning, development, and implementation of our solution branding and content development strategy.

You work well with others and are comfortable collaborating with industry experts, leaders and with reaching out directly to customers. You have worked with a variety of departments and can handle writing for different internal and external audiences.
You’re looking to not only write content but own our proposal content strategy. This can take the form of: unique solution descriptions, business credentials, info-graphics, templates and creative guidelines.
Given that this position supports the sales functions with strong written communications that require a marketing eye, marketing or creative experience/education is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop creative and communicative content for sales proposals by collaborating with technical subject matter experts, sales team members and customer success managers.
Learn fast about our industry, business, culture, and customers to use that knowledge to create relevant, impactful and strategic content.
Responsible to create and update a knowledge base of sales proposal content that is re-usable for sales and educational purposes.
Draft and edit assigned content ad hock, whenever required, for sales pitches or presentations as part of the proposal closing process.
Solution positioning and creative messaging - Develop a story telling technique that differentiates our solutions in the market.
Analyze business intelligence information to summarize strengths and weaknesses of our competition’s proposal techniques compared to ours and use it to improve.
College/university degree required. Preferably in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, Communications, or Marketing.
Minimum 2 years professional writing experience across a variety of digital/conventional media is preferred.
Portfolio of published work using a variety of tones.
Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and related productivity software.
Ability to conceive, draft, proofread and edit written materials quickly.
An eye for details, excellent grammatical skills and the ability to develop content that requires little or no editing.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, working with a high degree of independence.
Ability to facilitate medium sized group activity that includes industry leaders by keeping integrity and poise.
B2B writing experience is an asset.
Experience conceptualizing, planning, and/or creating marketing campaign outputs is an asset.
Working knowledge of CMS and CRM systems is an asset.
