Position Overview:

We are looking for a Corporate Business Development Analyst for our Mergers & Acquisitions team who will represent the front-end of the Volaris acquisition process by identifying and contacting business owners to develop leads for potential acquisitions.

The position requires an enthusiastic energetic self-starter with excellent social skills, and a warm and professional communication manner. Being extremely organized and not letting details slip through the cracks is a must. You are a collaborative individual, who can work easily with a team.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Support the M&A deal team with ultimate goal of acquiring Vertical Market Software (VMS) companies
  • Develop, maintaining and improve the quality of our Salesforce database of acquisition targets and contacts
  • Identify relevant industry events/tradeshows, schedule in-person meetings for the purpose of prospecting new targets and renewing account protection
  • Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts
  • Developing and conducting prospecting campaigns through email, outbound calling and in-person meetings
  • Gathering, analyzing and presenting target company information
  • Engaging shareholders and financial advisors in a meaningful dialogue on corporate growth and shareholder liquidity

Education and Experience:

  • Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, B.Comm, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen required to understand underlying business drivers and assess and qualify targets
  • Preference given to those with relevant M&A work/internship experience (i.e. strategy/corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, etc.) and experience using various CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce.com etc.)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task between various on-going responsibilities to meet established deadlines are essential
  • A strong understanding of technology and the software industry
