Electronics Technician (Cedar Rapids, US)

Job Summary:

As the Electronics Technician, you will maintain and utilize test equipment for service and production use. As an Electronics Technician your responsibilities are key to support the company's service and production metrics for quality, delivery, and output.

Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot assembly and/or component failures for repair and potential root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts.
  • Ensure systems and components meet established specifications.
  • Utilize instructions, guidelines, and other trained personnel to help perform the job functions.
  • Support assembly personnel by troubleshooting problems associated with product & test equipment
  • Debug or troubleshoot basic assemblies to component level to determine root cause
  • Have the ability to work independent and in a team setting
  • Support the service and production metrics for output, quality, and delivery.
  • Comply to ESD standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety standards
  • Perform tester maintenance and up-keep
  • Become familiar with testing equipment, firmware, and software
  • Proficiently utilize volt meters, power supplies and oscilloscopes
  • Support root cause investigation and corrective action
  • Analyze ATE test results on defective units to help determine cause of failure
  • Comply with quality assurance policies and methodologies
  • Communicate problems to quality, supervision, and peers as needed

 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support documenting of work processes as needed
  • Perform assembly tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a minimum of a 2 year college degree or 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Requires proficient soldering skills
  • The ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • The ability to read, understand, and execute test plans
  • Must maintain good standing for attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time
