HR Advisor (Cedar Rapids, US)

Job Summary:

This position will have a focus on high volume talent acquisition, employee on-boarding/exit administration, talent management, employee engagement, Workday administration, leave of absence management, training compliance/coordination, safety administration and Affirmative Action compliance. It will be a very active role, with a strong presence to US employees, requiring you to be very engaged, creative, self-managed and self-driven!

Job Description:

  • Coordinates new hire onboarding activities from pre-employment screening through first day new hire orientation
  • Coordinates and with career progression leads employee  compliance training and new hire orientation
  • Works with employees, team leads and managers to resolve employee relations issues, provides coaching on performance management and advises on talent development.
  • Proactively manages HR systems in order to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data.
  • Work with workers’ compensation adjusters to ensure accurate and timely handling of claims.
  • Interprets HR policy, directs and delivers human resources services; identifies appropriate policy and procedures for specific situations.
  • Serves as an employee advocate, balancing fair labor standards, company policies and practice and business needs.
  • Ensures compliance with & integration of EEOC & AAP requirements into HR and business practices.
  • Supports HR processes including but not limited to performance management, engagement survey participation and action planning and the organizational talent review.
  • Responds to employee calls and inquiries
  • Performs basic administration processing and approval of transactions, data input and verification of required documentation.
  • Ensures timely and accurate data entry and corrections of HR transactions into systems.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
