Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated Associate Project Manager/Installation Manager who will work towards taking on the management of key client projects. You will have solid experience working at a client site and hands on with hardware/software installations. You will also have experience working directly with external clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, budget and schedule. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the clients, all stakeholders, and third parties/vendors
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the timely execution of projects
  • Work in the field to manage and take part in the physical setup, installation and post install support of the Trapeze AFC equipment and software
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project timeline, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Work closely with the Systems Engineer, software development, engineering and customer to develop project design documentation
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; monthly financial reporting and quarterly “EAC”
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Significant travel within Canada and the US to visit clients, production facilities and other Trapeze offices
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
  • Min of 2 years’ experience in project management
  • Minimum 3 years external client-facing experience
  • Minimum 2 years in field experience with hardware/software installations
  • Previous experience completing financial reports and quarterly “EAC”
  • Well-developed organization skills and demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Must possess strong communication skills with an ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • PMP certification is an asset
