- Brussels, Belgium, Europe

In a follow up to the outcome of the REFIT revision of Directive 2009/45/EC on safety rules and standards for passenger ships, the study will allow to assess whether there is a need for common EU requirements for certain ship types, currently excluded from the Directive. More specifically, it is envisaged to assess the need to make the IMO guidelines contained in MSC.1/Circ.1417 mandatory and to assess the need for common European requirements for sailing passenger ships.
