Concession for development, operation and management of Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the port of Rijeka, Croatia, in the maritime domain
In the northwestern part of the Rijeka harbor, the Concessionary Authority has carried out construction work on the expansion of the port, in the length of 400 meters and the width of an average of 130 meters (a coastal wall with a hinterland). The aim of these works is to prepare the infrastructure basis for the development of a modern container terminal. From the selected Concessionaire, it is expected to build the remaining structures of the building, all the necessary facilities for the upgrade, fit it with the appropriate transhipment and other equipment necessary for the operation of a modern container terminal, similar to the reception and servicing of container ships with 24 transverse rows of containers, and so constructed and equipped container terminal used to perform the activities of unloading, loading, and storing of containers, as well as for operations with Ro-Ro cargo,

The concession is granted for a period of 50 years, counting from the date of entry into force of the Concession Agreement. The bidding document prescribes conditions that can be shortened to 29 years and 11 months.
