The fifth IT-TRANS – International Conference and Exhibition on IT Solutions for Public Transport –  will take place at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre from 1 to 3 March 2016.  It is jointly organised by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH. IT-TRANS is the only platform worldwide dedicated to IT solutions for the public transport sector. With the Conference and the specialist Exhibition, IT-TRANS combines two formats.

In the exhibition, approximately 200 renowned enterprises and associations from around 30 countries present cutting-edge products, developments and innovations in more than 13 different categories: Travel information, Integrated fare management, Smart cards, Card and commercial services, Software/software development, Traffic management/intelligent traffic , Fleet and vehicle management, security and safety systems, Data protection and privacy, Communication technologies, Infortainment Systems, Customer services, City bikes/car sharing and others. The exhibition also features Market Update Forums where exhibitors present their best practices and case studies.

The conference is the place where the sector meets to exchange, discuss and invent IT solutions, to further support the growth of public and sustainable urban transport. Participants will enjoy a choice of 15 sessions presenting innovations, as well as guidelines and concrete recommendations for the  implementation of IT solutions. Conference sessions will cover topics such as Smart Cities, new businesses and mobility services and integrated mobility platforms. The conference will take place in English and German.
