The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking creative, highly talented and self-motivated Highway/Transportation Engineers for immediate employment in our Ohio offices (Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Cleveland),. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Roadway/Transportation Engineering specific to roadway and highway design, drainage design, pavement design, traffic control design, and the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications and construction estimates.
Intersection and Interchange Improvement Plans
Interstate Reconstruction Plans
Urban and Rural Roadway Improvement Plans
Maintenance of Traffic Plans
Drainage and Erosion Control Plans
The candidate will be responsible for following ODOT, OTIC, and/or City standards and performing engineering calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
6 years of Transportation Engineering related design experience (including internships)
EIT with the ability to obtain a PE within 12 months of hire
MicroStation Software Experience
