Develops a relationship with the bus OEMs and transit properties to identify requirements to assure accurate orders are placed and meets customer’s expectations.
Works with internal customers to determine availability, cost, and pricing. Communicates order issues back to external customer.
Receives order from customers prepares the order to the specification and write up for registration
Forwards order packet to engineering. Checks availability of inventory stock with master schedulers and planners.
Receives completed order packet from data processing and enters orders into the systems for production and billing purposes.
Evaluates requests for changes, advising customer of time and dollar impact.
Helps facilitate field service requests and warranty issues with the appropriate internal departments. Process credit and debit request to finance
Coordinates with various departments, such as manufacturing, production control, shipping and traffic, to assure on time, complete shipment of orders. Handles shortages problem after delivery or installation.
Communicates with customers on product availability, information, issues and lead times.
Assists coworkers and answers product questions. Assists with training. This may include mentoring fellow service employees.
Manages the communication from the customer on warranty claims to the warranty department.
Knowledge of product, applications and the manufacturing processes.
Aptitude for accuracy and patience.
Knowledge of CRT, personal computer and software.
Excellent organizational skills.
Order processing knowledge.
Ability to interpret technical drawings/blueprints
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret and translate facts.
Ability to resolve conflicts and issues.
