About the Role

As the Finance and Reporting Manager at Passport, you will drive the Company’s monthly reporting and forecasting process, providing the in-depth analysis and valuable insight necessary for the Company to manage its resources and adhere to its annual operating plan.  You will work directly with departmental and senior leadership to understand the key drivers of our business, and leverage this insight to develop accurate, reliable forecast models. You will develop new and elegant ways to leverage large volumes of data and generate accurate results.  Your ability to recognize, understand and incorporate constant, rapid change into your models and reports will make you a valuable contributor to Passport’s tactical and strategic decision processes. You will design and continually refine comprehensive reporting packages for use by internal and external stakeholders, including our board of directors, investors, and lenders. This position will balance complex forecast modeling, with concise, insightful reporting and analysis of financial results and key performance indicators.  You hold yourself accountable to meet your commitments, and you push yourself to exceed the expectations of your teammates and clients in everything you do. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the efforts for updating the long-term budget, forecasting and modeling process.
  • Find improvements and innovative ways to increase effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy in the financial model
  • Manage the coordination of the data inputs for the model from each department
  • Own the monthly reporting package  preparation and analysis process
  • Develop short-term financial models to accurately forecast near-term results 
  • Lead the pre-close review process with the accounting team (share forecast expectations and identify and discuss expected one-time items and other updates that will impact the mont end close)
  • Support the development and improvement of leadership level reporting
  • Support investor relations, due diligence, financing reporting and other ad hoc financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, but 8 years preferred in corporate finance, supporting the month end close process, business insight reporting and analytics (including KPIs)
  • Minimum 2 years of direct management of others
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to facilitate the building of models that produce GAAP-compliant forecasts and financial statements
  • Experience with supporting the month end close process, analyzing accounts, reconciliations and journal entries
  • Experience supporting KPI reporting and building out leadership / board presentations
  • Experience working across multiple organizations, leading modeling, analysis and recommendations
  • Advanced Excel and database skills.  
  • Comfort with the collaborative Google suite of products – Sheets, Drive, etc. preferred  
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written, verbal, and listening) skills
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA is a plus
  • Experience in a rapid growth SaaS company is a plus
