  • What goal are we trying to achieve?
  • Who’s our target audience?
  • What does the data tell us worked last time?

 

Then, you put pen to paper – or these days, more likely fingers to a keyboard – and that’s your favorite part.

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to join our team of passionate, hard-working, creative marketers. Is it you? Well, let us tell you what you can expect in your new role:

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Create compelling content that takes our thought leadership to the next level.
  • Own and take initiative to run some of our content marketing programs – we create a lot of content to connect with our prospects and customers, and you’ll get to own some of these programs (it could be our podcast, blog, newsletters etc.)
  • Collaborate with other members of the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to create content that meets business' needs
  • Be an example to the team and company on what it means to create compelling content – whether that means by hosting content workshops or pushing others to make sure our content explains the real value of our solutions
  • Proactively assist the Content Manager to manage our editorial calendar and keep our content audit up-to-date
  • Work with the Content and Creative Managers to ensure all content is on brand

 

All about you:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a content marketing role, ideally for a B2B tech/software company
  • You’re not afraid to try new things and test out new forms of writing, and you love asking how you can make a piece of content better than it was before
  • You love taking initiative so when we say run, you run. That means developing project goals, meeting with teammates to coordinate activities and put together project timelines, and keeping track of the status of a project (while also evaluating metrics and thinking “how could this be better?”)
  • New tools? You love experimenting with our martech stack, such as setting up blogs in Expression Engine or uploading videos to Vidyard
  • You have a hunger for asking ‘why’ which leads you to uncover different ways of doing things
  • You are a strong communicator – whether it’s through casual office chats, lots of IMing, or that ol’ telephone, you’re able to communicate (verbally and written) with your peers and managers
  • You can work independently, and be part of a team of remote and non-remote workers
  • You’re a whiz at turning sales collateral listing features into real, customer value statements  
  • You’re a problem-solver, so when challenges arise, you ask yourself, “okay, what can I learn from this situation? What solutions can I come up with?”
  • Of course, you love writing – and there’s nothing more satisfying to you than putting together a perfect sentence – and your writing portfolio shows that
