Product Designer, Operations Solutions (Mississauga, CA)

Job Description:

What You’ll Do:

·        Work closely with product management and developers to create innovative products that customers love

·        Run workshops to define user journeys and key business workflows

·        Prepare customer personas from interviews, business insights, and overall market trends

·        Manage our end-to-end product design process; from research through design iteration

·        Generate user interfaces, prototypes, mock-ups, style guides and component guides

·        Create mock-ups for mobile, tablet (iOS and Android) and responsive web

·        Collaborate with mobile and web application developers to ensure delivery of a successful product

·        Facilitate usability and accessibility testing

·        Incorporate brand guidelines where required

·        Work with stakeholders to ensure overall goals and needs are met within product design

·        Present proposed solutions to external stakeholders and internal teams

·        Work within project schedules and multi-tasking to meet deadlines

·        Advocate for the customer experience


·        5+ years of work experience as a UX Designer / Product Designer

·        Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision, Zeplin, and Storybook

·        Strong portfolio of mobile and responsive web products that have been used by different demographics

·        Ability to translate product goals, user research and analytics into user-friendly UI/UX

·        Experience creating user flows, wireframes, site maps, customer journey maps to guide design process

·        Experience creating comprehensive design specifications and functional documentation for development teams

·        Excellent understanding of best practices for UX as well as current design trends in technology

·        Awareness of best practices for accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA) across native and responsive apps

·        Understanding of front-end software development, including HTML/CSS and Javascript

·        Experience in planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects to learn more about your users’ most pressing needs and challenges

·        Proactive in your approach, driving projects forward by quickly identifying and removing blockers

·        Find motivation in surfacing and defining problems and are comfortable navigating ambiguity

·        Excellent attention to detail and a passion for design

·        Excellent understanding of composition, colour, imagery, and typography

·        Experience managing client relationships

·        Proven communication, organization, and leadership skills

·        Experienced in Software Development Life Cycle methodology (SDLC)

·        Experience in waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery methodologies

·        Ability to travel up to 50% within North America 


·        Experience working in a customer-facing role within the transit technology industry

·        Experience working with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
