This position involves the training and consultation with clients of the transit industry in the resolution of transportation demand response problems by developing solutions to increase transit efficiencies.
The candidate will provide operational consulting for Trapeze clients as part of contracted reviews. The candidate will participate in consulting projects with existing clients to identify client’s trip booking, scheduling, dispatching requirements as well as gaps or best practices as part of the certification, planning and run cutting process. Additionally, the candidate will assist in analyzing and defining business operational needs.
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills to manage client expectations by defining actual efficiencies for their operations and applying the appropriate Trapeze software products with minimal customizations. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills required to build strong business relationships with clients and facilitate communications between them and Trapeze staff.
The TPS will report directly to the Manager of Technical Delivery, Demand Response. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Care, Operations, Project Management and Development.
Training and Consulting for Trapeze Clients
Provide training or other support services for clients as directed;
Provide consulting services for Trapeze to enable clients to move towards a more efficient transit operation;
Provide full operational reviews for Trapeze clients;
Facilitate communications between client and operations during implementation of transit service changes to ensure communication integrity and clarity of all parties;
Identify client’s internal software issues and recommend improvements through our products and services on an ongoing basis;
Effectively communicate client issues and requirements to Trapeze internal team members to ensure total solutions are provided;
Assist client in setting up and configuring various operational configurations and metrics to enable the maximum utilization of Trapeze tools to meet the client’s goals;
Assist client in reviewing data for long term scheduling and planning purposes;
Continuous total customer satisfaction focus.
Education and Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience providing technical product support
Experience with SQL;
Understanding of PC hardware environments;
In-depth knowledge of commercial spreadsheet, word processor, database management, report generator and electronic mail system;
Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong customer and relationship management skills
Self-motivated, organized, innovative;
Ability to effect a number of tasks in a time sensitive manner;
Positive team player attitude and ability to motivate internal team members towards a common goal;
Keen to learn and keep up with new technology.
Ability to travel up to 50% and work varied hours
It would be beneficial and would greatly increase your chances of being the successful candidate if you have:
Scheduling and/or Run Cutting skills;
Knowledge of the transportation industry and/or Trapeze products;
Experience using GIS computer mapping tools;
Experience with Business Intelligence or industry-standard reporting tools.
A degree in business or planning, or equivalent training in business management
