The Bossard Group is now officially certified to the aerospace standard AS9120 in Switzerland. A company must have this certification for its quality management system before it is allowed to act as a distributor to the aerospace industry. In line with its corporate strategy, Bossard intends to step up its business in high-tech industries that promise greater growth and more added value.
The Bossard Group has built up its expertise in the aerospace industry through various acquisitions in recent years, including its takeover in 2015 of Aero-Space Southwest, Inc. In particular, this US subsidiary is active in this demanding segment and officially certified for this industry. Part of the overall strategic direction of the Bossard Group is to expand its base in this business segment. One important step toward this goal is the official certification to the aerospace standard AS9120 in Switzerland. This certificate attests to the quality of our products and services and acknowledges traceability and processes in place for delivered parts in particular. Customers in the aerospace industry are therefore guaranteed to receive premium original products and an excellent service. Also in France, which has a significant aerospace industry, Bossard is likewise seeking certification and has already initiated the necessary steps. The same applies for Canada.
CEO David Dean emphasized the following point about Bossard's involvement in this industry: “Aerospace is a demanding business segment. With the AS9120 certification, our high quality standards are now officially confirmed. Drawing on our proven competence and strength of innovation in fastening technology, we can meet the special requirements of customers in the aerospace industry on everything from development to production.”
