Huawei, a leading global information and communication (ICT) solution provider, to design and implement its leading mass transit communications solution for more than 65 km and 53 subway stations of Bangkok’s Pink and Yellow monorail lines. Hundreds of thousands of travellers per day in Thailand’s capital will benefit from a suite of seamlessly integrated rail system communication technologies.
Thailand’s monorail projects’ aim is to implement state-of-the-art signalling and telecommunication technologies, to further improve safety and passenger throughput of these important new transit lines.
Huawei will take charge of design and integration of a number of information and communications technology (ICT) rail solutions such as IP/MPLS multi-services bearer network, Intelligent Video Surveillance System (IVS), Digital Radio System (DRS), OA network, Master Clock System (MCS), Public Information Display System (PIDS), Public Address System (PAS) and Telephone System.

Bombardier Transportation is delivering the turnkey electrical & mechanical system for the two monorail lines, including 72 four-car BOMBARDIER INNOVIA Monorail 300 trains equipped with BOMBARDIER CITYFLO 650 communications-based signalling system.
Operating in the city’s northern and eastern areas, the monorails will integrate with the existing transportation network and run at speeds up to 80 km/h with a maximum capacity of over 28,000 passengers per-hour, per-direction.
