The new displays in German and English allow passengers and visitors to get the information they need for their onward journey at a glance.
As one of the most important international transportation hubs, Frankfurt Airport combines air, rail, and road travel, making it Germany’s intermodal gateway to the world. Around 200,000 passengers travel through the airport every day – and now they can get information about their onward journey from new intermodal displays.
The new displays in German and English allow passengers and visitors to get the information they need for their onward journey at a glance – including departures from the airport’s railway stations, bus schedules, the latest highway traffic information, and available car and bike-sharing options. In addition to real-time information on possible delays, the bus and rail displays also show the walking time to the nearest station. Car users can get information about congestion and traffic jams, the routes affected and the resulting additional travel time.
The new monitors can be found in Terminal 1, Concourse B, and the arrivals area in Terminal 2. Two more intermodal displays will be installed in Terminal 1, Concourse A and C, by the end of the year.
