Passport, the leading mobile payment provider for transit and parking, has developed and launched a system-wide mobile ticketing solution for M-1 RAIL’s streetcar system, QLINE.

The mobile ticketing app, QLINE Detroit, gives M-1 RAIL riders an innovative way to purchase streetcar fares directly from their phones, making public transit quicker and more convenient.

Passport powers mobile ticketing solutions in large cities across the U.S., including Miami, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Utah Transit Authority.

“We are excited to work with M-1 RAIL to deliver a comprehensive solution that will improve the rider experience! Technology is transforming public transportation, making it easier for riders to view their options and buy their fares,” said Bob Youakim, CEO at Passport. “Technology continues to better connect transit agencies to their communities by providing rich data, effective communication channels, and a feedback loop for continuous innovation.”

“The QLINE mobile app is the easiest way to purchase fares,” said M-1 RAIL COO Paul Childs. “It’s essential to provide our riders with a simple and convenient experience to pay for fares and access rider info. Passport’s QLINE Detroit mobile app helps us achieve those goals.”

The QLINE Detroit mobile ticketing app is free to download in the App Store and Google Play.
