The SBB uses vehicles from the DTZ fleet (RABE 514) as RER trains in regional traffic in the Zurich conurbation. After 16 years of activity, vehicles must be overhauled so that we can continue to operate.

The agent is responsible for the development, manufacture, qualification and delivery of the connection cables and plugs, including interventions and contacts. These are also the connection materials and seals necessary to connect and fix the various items according to the specifications (part 4 of the tender documents). The quantitative grid appears in the technical documents (part 4 of the tender documents) and the price table (part 6 of the tender documents).

Description of options:

An option for an award on the initial contract for other phases and / or other quantities and / or additional services and for a contract extension of maximum 7 years after signature of the contract is expressly reserved.

The SBB expressly reserves the right to exercise their right of option in a staggered manner or to launch in due time and if necessary 1 call for tenders for the award of these services (in whole or in part) in competition on the basis of the legal prescriptions in force relating to public procurement. The time of exercise of the option as well as the distribution of optional services in the event of a subsequent order for additional services will be communicated in due time.

The conditions of the initial contract, including the initial financial base, all of the supplements and modifications generated by the exercise of option rights to order new services by SBB / changes in services, special agreements and other endorsements to the contract also govern the services ordered subsequently. The extent of the services, the deadlines and the other points of the contract will be agreed in all cases in writing before the start of the execution of the contractual commitments on the basis of an offer detailed in 1 amendment to the initial contract.
