Mitron strengthens its position in the Nordic countries by acquiring the business assets of Poltech Information System AB

Mitron acquiring business assets of Poltech

Mitron has acquired the business assets of the Swedish company Poltech Information System AB (Poltech) from Poltech’s bankruptcy estate as of 1 January 2016. Poltech, founded in 1982, has developed and marketed customized visual information systems for public transport, traffic, industrial applications and public environments.

By the acquisition of the business assets of Poltech, Mitron strengthens its traditionally strong position in Sweden and other Nordic countries in the on-board, railway and display solutions as well as related service businesses. Mitron is determined to maintain and cherish the good customer relationships with Poltech’s current customers by providing them the best products and services needed.

Poltech’s expertise and product portfolio are an excellent strategic complement to Mitron’s product range in the information solutions business. Sweden is one of the most important market areas for Mitron, and the acquisition strengthens Mitron’s foothold in this market.
