15th Annual Transport Practitioners’ Meeting call for papers

The 15th Annual Transport Practitioners’ Meeting (TPM) will be held on 28-29th June in Nottingham. Organised by PTRC Education and Research Services Ltd, TPM is the annual meeting place for all transport planners, highway engineers and urban transport designers to share knowledge, engage in constructive debates and disseminate the latest thinking across the profession.

A Call for Papers has been issued encouraging practitioners to submit abstracts that share knowledge and fresh ideas on a wide range of transport topics and issues. A few ‘hot topics’ have been identified as a guide for those who are considering submitting an abstract, including innovation and new technology in transport, latest developments in modelling techniques and applications, catering for and sustaining growth in walking and cycling, new models of government, opportunities to enhance behavioural changes and challenges of providing for a growing elderly population. This list is not exclusive, as abstracts covering the latest developments in road safety, smarter choices, bus and rail, transport assessment, transport and health, non-motorised transport, better streets and urban design, freight and data are also welcome.

The deadline for submitting an abstract is noon on Thursday 19th January 2017. The TPM Committee will consider all submitted abstracts and debate which ones should be presented at the conference. Authors will be notified whether their abstract has been selected by Thursday 23rd February 2017.
